about

Written in 1924 by Ray Henderson, Buddy DeSylva, and Bud Green. My favorite versions of this song were recorded by Al Jolson in 1939, and Bing Crosby in 1957. The tune had a great melody, and chord changes, which made it perfect to arrange Travis-style. In the 1950s, Travis bought the last Cadillac owned by Al Jolson, and he would occasionally drive it in parades. This was another reason I chose to record the tune.
